HTC announced two newly created positions on May 19, 2011, targeting at the growth in Asia region, according to the Commercial Times of Taiwan. It is reported that the HTC North Asia president will be based in Taiwan and responsible for the company's market growth and development in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, and China. While the other position, HTC South Asia president, will be based in Singapore and in charge of the company's businesses in Singapore, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand. HTC expects that Asia market will contribute one-third of the company's overall revenue to be generated in 2011, up from less than 20% in 2010.
